The Estoc 1H R2 is quite simply the best move in the game. Not only does it pierce shields, but it is extremely fast, can combo into a normal stab, and even out-ranges spears/rapier pokes. Fighting greatswords is hilariously easy when you can just stand outside the range, and counter sweep between swings.

Except estoc is a quality weapon and not pure dex.... thank you. nobody seems to realize that. on a pure dex build the estoc only has 335 Attack rating but the Balder side sword has 384, that's 49 points! Don't put points in RES though. The Estoc will serve you fine for the PvE game. However if you are looking into having Faith buffs on your weapons then Estoc might not be the way to go. The Estoc is very poke-heavy in PvP, and buffs don't last long enough for a poke war usually. But honestly if you like any weapon just go for it, they all work.
