NO, during the regen process, extra fuel is sent to the DOC (converter) which causes it to heat up. The hot exhaust gases from the DOC are sent to the DPF for the regen. So all the heat is going to be from the DOC back. There are EGT sensors pre and post DPF to monitor the temp., Thank you for input again, however, i forgot to mention at the very beginning that turbo speed at 58,000 - 60,000 rpm which mean in the boost rate, but DOC and DPF at 350, 400 and 430 degree after 30 minute of regen, but after i detect CAC leak on both side, i replaced CAC and turbo speed back to normal around 42,000-43,000 rpm., Now this truck is back and will not regen. The truck is in a fail safe mode for soot. Initially it was setting a SPN 3351 FMI 7 for the engine exhaust back pressure valve and the DOC/DPF were not getting hot. I adjusted the valve and the DOC inlet hit 500 and outlet hit over 600, DPF outlet was able to get over 500.
