Anche quest'anno, dopo l'entusiasmante successo delle passate edizioni,
torna DISCOVERSION, ovvero la CLUB CULTURE a Catania!
Tutti i sabati, al Centro Culture Contemporanee - Zo, crocevia di
ogni avanguardia, in Piazzale Asia n.6, si apriranno a coloro che
apprezzano la VERA essenza della DANCE, le porte delle tre sale
che costituiscono l'EVENTO/DISCOVERSION.
Nella sala centrale, la "sala verde", in coerenza con le passate edizioni,
si alterneranno DJs di fama nazionale ed internazionale le cui dinamiche
esplorazioni della DANCE più attuale e potente saranno supportate
dalle immagini di VJs altrettanto affermati e validi, proiettate, prima
novità della presente edizione, su un più vasto ed ipnoticamente
spettacolare sistema di schermi. La seconda sala, la "sala grigia",
altra importante novità, sarà interamente dedicata alle sonorità
soulful, tra la bossanova più jazzy e il nu jazz più funky in un mix
eclettico fra le più ardite ed accattivanti riletture post-moderniste
del genere. Ancora la seconda sala sarà teatro delle
installazioni/laboratorio di DISCOVERSION. Infatti, per questa
edizione, DISCOVERSION, nel suo svolgersi, narrerà una
STORIA attraverso la costruzione/installazione di raffinati scenari
alchemico-teatrali. DISCOVERSION racconta e si appropria
della storia più antica del mondo: la trasformazione del SUONO in
ORO SPIRITUALE. Come gli antichi alchimisti, DISCOVERSION
tramuterà la struttura del SUONO in pura FORMA immateriale.
Nelle varie fasi/azioni di DISCOVERSION il BEAT verrà sottoposto
a continue raffinazioni, secondo appunto la Tradizione Ermetica,
finché, attraverso l'energia psichica di chi celebra la
DANCE CULTURE, risorgerà, rinnovato e puro. L'obiettivo di
DISCOVERSION, nel trattare il SUONO così come gli alchimisti
trattavano i metalli grezzi per ottenere la Pietra Filosofale,
consiste nell'annullare progressivamente la distanza tra la dimensione
interiore di chi vive la DANCE e lo spazio esterno in cui si muovono
le onde sonore, fino a che si ottenga unità perfetta tra i due elementi.
Ancora novità: per questa edizione si aggiunge al già corposo
spazio dedicato alle AZIONI di DISCOVERSION, una terza sala,
la caffetteria, che sarà teatro delle oblique strategie aurali della
DISCOVERSION CREW. Infine, si avverte il gentile pubblico che
questa rinnovata edizione di DISCOVERSION sarà ancora più ricca
di performances/azioni da parte di musicisti/gruppi teatrali/artisti e
chiunque abbia sostanziale bellezza da manifestare.

Discoversion, CLUB CULTURE in Catania, returns also this year after the
amazing success of its past editions. Every Saturday, at the Centre of
Contemporary Art and Culture - the crossroads of every avant-garde, ZO, in
6 Piazzale Asia - the doors of the three rooms of Discoversion event will be
opened for those who appreciate the real essence of Dance.
In the main room, "the green" one, consistently with the past editions,
national and international famous Djs will play, and their dynamic
explorations of the most recent and powerful dance will be supported by the
as much renowned and worthy Vjs' images, projected, first important
innovation of the present edition, on a broader and hypnotically spectacular
system of screens. The second room, "the grey" one, will be totally
dedicated to the soulful sonorities, between the jazziest bossa-nova and the
funkiest nu-jazz for an eclectic mix between the boldest and most winning
post- modern re-reading of the genre. Besides, the second room will be the
stage of the Discoversion's installations / lab. For this edition,
Discoversion will progressively tell a story through the building and the
installation of some refined alchemic-theatrical scenery.
DISCOVERSION tells and makes it of its own the oldest story of the world:
the transformation of the SOUND in SPIRITUAL GOLD.
Such as the ancient alchemists, DISCOVERSION will convert the structure
of the sound in pure immaterial form. Through the several DISCOVERSION
steps/actions, the BEAT will be submitted to continuous purifications,
just according to the Hermetic tradition, till it will rise again, renewed
and purified, through the psychic energy of those celebrating the DANCE
CULTURE. DISCOVERSION's aim, treating the sound as alchemists
treated raw metals in order to obtain the Philosophers' Stone,
is to progressively cancel the distance between the inner dimension
of those who live the Dance and the outer space in which
sound waves move, till they obtain a perfect unity between the two elements.
Another innovation for this edition will be another room added to the
already broad space dedicated to DISCOVERSION's actions; a third room,
the coffee area, which will be the theatre of the oblique and gold
strategies by the DISCOVERSION CREW. Finally, we inform the kind
public that the present Discoversion renewed edition will be richer of
performances and actions by musicians/ theatre companies/artists...
...and anybody having substantial beauty to show.

francese F Communications ci ha deliziato con un dj set elegantissimo in
cui ha regnato un beat di altissima qualita'. I visuals di Vj Klat & Vj Kar
hanno completato alla perfezione quello che e' l'universo ritmico di
Ludovic Llorca, universo che e' una delle influenze di uno dei migliori
album (New Comer / F Com - FR) elettronici dello scorso anno,

the best electronic albums (New Comer / F Com - FR) of the

La materia subatomica danza le frequenze invisibili dell'origine del BEAT
e così crea la realtà sensibile del suono. In lievi orbite DISCOVERSION
s'invola dal pianeta Terra, la sua nutrice, e dall'Eden reca in grembo il
corpo sottile della DANZA. Il Rito diviene macchina celeste ed unisce le
menti. DISCOVERSION inizia il viaggio verso il BEAT trascendentale:
pietra, legno e fertile terra. Il suo colore è il verde delle foreste e
l'azzurro del cielo. Il DJ ermetico svela i propri segreti.

The subatomic matter dances the invisible frequencies of the BEAT's origin,
and it thus creates the sensible sound reality. Through gentle orbits
DISCOVERSION flies away from Planet Earth, its nurse, and from Eden, it
holds in its lap the thin body of DANCE. The ritual becomes celestial
machine and joins the minds together. Its colour is the green of the woods
and the blue of the sky. The hermetic dj discloses his own secrets. The
whole planet is DANCE.

5TH SUITE:
Dj e produttore di estrazione hiphop, Luca Fronza, in arte 5th Suite,
collabora con molte realta' musicali a livello mondiale. Remixer per la jazz
label Soul Note di New York, appare con 'Rainbow Gladiator Remix' sulla
compilation della Mo'Smog: 'Riviera Jazz vol.1' (Gotan Project, Butti 49,
ecc). Nel 2001 pubblica il suo primo album solista dal titolo "The Deep
North's Breakbeats" a meta' strada tra nu-jazz, funk e brazilectro con il
quale si fa notare anche oltremanica (entra nella playlist di Pete Tong e
Gilles Peterson). Luca e' anche 50% del progetto Pimpwax, che lo vede fianco
a fianco con Will White dei Propellerheads nel singolo 'Kickflip' su Wall of
Sound e 50% del Boogaloo dj's team, atto a promuovere la black music in
tutte le sue contaminazioni. Ormai di casa Discoversion @ Zo, Sabato 1
Novembre, 5th Suite presenterà il suo ultimo album "Find Pleasure"
(KFM/Maffia rec.) che stato realizzato ancora una volta assieme all'amico
Will White.
Dj-producer with an hip hop background, Luca Fronza a.k.a. 5th Suite,
collaborates with many world music realities. Remixer for the New York jazz
label Soul Note, he makes his debut with Rainbow Gladiator Remix included in
the Mo'Smog compilation: 'Riviera Jazz vol.1' (Gotan Project, Butti 49,
etc). In 2001 he records his first solo album entitled "The Deep North's
Breakbeats", in between nu jazz e brasilelectro through which he becomes
popular even across the English Channel (he enters the Pete Tong e Gilles
Peterson's playlist). Luca is also 50% of the Pimpwax project, in which he
is side by side Will White of Propellerheads in the single "Kickflip" on the
Wall of Sound and 50% of the Boogaloo dj's team, aimed to promote black
music in all its contaminations. Now a family friend of Discoversion @ Zo,
5th Suite is presenting on Saturday 1st November his last album "Find
Pleasure" (KFM/Maffia rec.) that has been realized one more time together
with his friend Will White.
